The role of the UNEVOC Network in transforming TVET for a sustainable future
From 14 to 16 November 2012, the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre organized an International Forum on the role of the UNEVOC Network in transforming TVET for a sustainable future in Bonn, Germany.
TVET as the key to sustainable development
On Day 1 of the International Forum on the role of the UNEVOC Network in transforming TVET for a sustainable future, over 100 delegates from over 50 countries gathered to share their knowledge and commitment to TVET development worldwide.

The UNEVOC Centre will focus primarily on research and activities aimed at strengthening technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in Jamaica.
Transforming TVET - from idea to action. One decade of UNESCO-UNEVOC
On the occasion of the tenth anniversary of its establishment in Bonn in 2002, the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre published a brochure retracing its activities over the last decade, in order to reflect on past achievements, present ongoing projects and look towards the future. The brochure provides information on UNEVOC's aims, actions and themes.

Synthesis report on TVET teacher education
From 25 June to 6 July 2012, a moderator-driven discussion was held on the topic of TVET teacher education on the UNEVOC e-Forum which aimed to discuss the challenges and opportunities in this field, gather good practices and learn from experiences from the international TVET community. The conference attracted over 150 participants from more than 50 countries.

Meeting report: Consultation Meeting of UNEVOC Cluster Coordinators
The aim of the meeting was to discuss the role of Cluster Coordinating UNEVOC Centres in order to enable the better coordination of the global UNEVOC Network. This important meeting brought together 30 UNEVOC Centres, providing the opportunity to discuss better modalities to organize activities at the sub-regional level, mechanisms to facilitate updates of information on Centres, and ways to contribute to a more efficient information flow regarding the activities of the Centres.

How many students should be in a group for a practical workshop?
A discussion on the number of the students in a group for the most effective workshop. The participants of the discussion agree that the number depends on the activity and resources available, although the common view is that the number of students in a practical workshop should not exceed 20.
Image promoting projects in TVET
An informative discussion on how to raise the image of TVET and blue-collar jobs in the eyes of the society. A few practical ideas and pieces of advice have been pushed forward. The issues of the difference of TVET development level and its perception by society in different countries have also been discussed.
Anticipation of skills needs to Professional Profile labour market
This exchange discusses the skills that are becoming more important in the context of the emerging labour market. Experts from different countries share the approaches that are adopted in their respective labour markets, such as the focus on employability skills.
Students from Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University visit UNESCO-UNEVOC
On 6 December 2012, the team of UNESCO-UNEVOC welcomed students from the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences (BRSU) to the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre in Bonn, Germany.
Delegates from Peru visit UNESCO-UNEVOC
On 4 December 2012, the team of UNESCO-UNEOVC welcomed fifteen delegates from Peru specialized in the field of vocational education in the water sector to the Centre’s premises in Bonn, Germany.
Indian delegation visits UNESCO-UNEVOC
On 27 November 2012, the team of UNESCO-UNEVOC welcomed four representatives from the Central Staff Training and Research Institute (CSTARI, Kolkata, India) to the Centre’s premises in Bonn, Germany.
Representatives of EUROPEN visit UNESCO-UNEVOC
On 21 November 2012, Mr Shyamal Majumdar welcomed representatives from the PEN International Worldwide Practice Enterprises Network (EUROPEN) to the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre in Bonn, Germany.
Representatives from JET Education Services visit UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre
On 9 October 2012, the UNESCO-UNEVOC team welcomed two representatives from the JET Education Services, a non-governmental organization from South Africa, to the UNEVOC premises.
