Nigerian UNEVOC Centre CETVETAR inaugurates research group on innovations in TVET


Innovations in TVET Research Group
A new research group, with focus on innovations in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), has been inaugurated at the Nigerian UNEVOC Centre CETVETAR by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Prof. Benjamin Chukwuma Ozumba. Inaugurating the research group on-behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Edwin Igbokwe commended the Vice-Chancellor for encouraging formation of research groups in the University. Prof. Hyacinth Ichoku, who represented the Chairman of Senate Research Grant Committee, UNN, explained the need to motivate people to work and get results and congratulated the TVET Research Group on its formation and urged them to pursue their objective with passion. The Group Leader, also UNN UNEVOC Centre Coordinator, Prof Emmanuel Osinem, explained the objectives to include among others to undertake researches in TVET systems innovation, programme delivery and best practices in skills development in the formal and non-formal settings.
