Craig Fowler visits UNESCO-UNEVOC

On 24 September 2015, Mr. Craig Fowler, Managing Director of the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) in Australia, visited UNESCO-UNEVOC.

The visit provided an opportunity for Mr. Fowler to shed light and provide insights on recent TVET developments in Australia, as well as highlight research priority areas. In a meeting attended by Mr Shyamal Majumdar, Head of UNESCO-UNEVOC, and Kenneth Barrientos, Programme Officer, NCVER’s contributions to TVET developments in the Asia-Pacific region and its important role as UNEVOC Network cluster coordinator for the Pacific region was acknowledged.

The meeting also gave an opportunity to discuss the forthcoming research project organized by UNESCO-UNEVOC and NCVER on return on investment in TVET. The research project is expected to start at the end of 2015 and last until 2017 and will be organized around a collaborative framework with UNEVOC Centres in the region.
