Germany’s Minister of State Ms. Cornelia Pieper

visits UNESCO-UNEVOC on 17 November 2011

On 17 November 2011, Mr. Shyamal Majumdar, Head of UNESCO-UNEVOC, welcomed Germany’s Minister of State in the Foreign Office, Ms. Cornelia Pieper, and Mr. Max Maldacker, Director of Cabinet of the Deputy Minister, at the Centre’s premises in Bonn.

Ms. Pieper visited UNESCO-UNEVOC to meet the team and learn more about UNEVOC’s work. Mr. Majumdar presented UNEVOC’s recent activities and future plans, whilst Ms. Pieper shared her views on the growing importance of TVET and the significant role of UNESCO-UNEVOC in contributing to TVET development worldwide. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to exchange views and strengthen the relationship with Germany as the host country. After an open discussion, Ms. Pieper promised her full support to UNESCO-UNEVOC towards strengthening the organisation’s efforts in developing capacity in TVET worldwide.

We thank Ms. Pieper and Mr. Maldacker for the very fruitful visit and look forward to further collaborating in the future.
