Internship – Research Assistant

(published: 18 February 2015)

The UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Bonn is currently looking for an intern to assist the UNEVOC knowledge management and research team.

Under the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist, the intern shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:

Assist in:

  • proofreading and editing of country reports;
  • verifying information;
  • conducting research;
  • assisting in preparation of meetings and conferences;
  • assist in knowledge management related tasks;
  • any other task assigned.
Required qualifications and experience:
  • Advanced stage of university studies (masters or doctoral students) in a relevant discipline, e.g. education, knowledge management, communication, social sciences etc.;
  • Interest or experience in the field of international education, TVET;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English is compulsory;
  • Knowledge of any other UN language is seen as an advantage;
  • Good research and analytical skills, willingness to learn;
  • Ability to pay attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural team.
Candidates must be enrolled at university in a masters or comparable programme.

Minimum duration of the internship: 3 months (full time)
Closing date of applications: 17 March 2015
Preferred starting date: As soon as possible

The Centre does not provide remuneration for internships.
