Internship - UNEVOC Network

The UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Bonn is currently looking for an intern to assist the UNEVOC Network team.

The UNEVOC Network is an inclusive, global learning network of institutions and organizations involved in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in UNESCO Member States. It consists of over 200 TVET institutions and organizations called UNEVOC Centres. The UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre is the main hub of the UNEVOC Network.

Under the direct supervision of the Programme Assistant Network, the intern shall perform the following duties and responsibilities:

Assist in:

  • Updating information related to UNEVOC Centres;
  • Re-organising the archiving system of the Network;
  • Managing the processes of launching and distributing the UNEVOC Network Manual;
  • Conducting desk research on network related topics such as models of stakeholder engagement;
  • Compiling information on TVET systems in selected UNESCO Member States for the World TVET database as need arises;
  • any other task assigned.
Qualifications and experience:

  • Advanced stage of university studies (at masters level) in a relevant discipline, e.g. education, sociology, public management, international relations, political science, social sciences etc.;
  • Interest or experience in the field of international education, TVET;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English is compulsory, knowledge of other UN languages would be an asset;
  • Good research and analytical skills, willingness to learn;
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural team.
Candidates must be enrolled at university in a masters or comparable programme.

Minimum duration of the internship: 3 months
Closing date of applications: 17 March 2015
Preferred starting date: as soon as possible.

The Centre does not provide remuneration for internships.
