Sofia Antera

Intern

Sofia assists as an intern in UNESCO-UNEVOC international Centre with a focus on Europe, North America and CIS region. Being involved in UNEVOC activities she hopes to get a deeper insight in the work of an international body, like UNESCO, and explore aspects of project development and implementation. A better understanding of TVET can serve as a starting point for her future research and activity.

Sofia graduated with a Bachelor degree in Educational Sciences from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. Currently, she is enrolled in a Master’s program on International and Comparative Education offered by Stockholm University, while her focus is on adult education and teacher training.

Living in Sweden for two years, she has gained experience on working in multicultural environments and realized the importance of comparing innovative ideas from the international arena to develop new promising practices. Besides her working experience in international schools, Sofia is involved in youth work activities as a volunteer, while her research activity in engineering education includes participation and support of students’ research groups (SPEED and BEST).
