A range of learning activities through which professionals ensure that they retain their capacity to practice safely, effectively and legally within their scope of practice.
The processes whereby expert workers (professionals) acquire, maintain, update and broaden and deepen their knowledge and practice over the course of their professional careers.
Continuing professional development (CPD) refers to the inculcation of advanced knowledge, skills, and ethical values in a post-licensure specialization or in an inter-or multi-disciplinary field of study, for assimilation into professional practice, self-directed research, and/or lifelong learning.
CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development and is the term used to describe the learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities. CPD is a holistic approach towards the enhancement of personal skills and proficiency throughout a professional’s career.
