The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the Philippines' government agency for TVET, celebrated World Teachers' Day by awarding TVET trainers nationwide with certificates of appreciation, free training and awards. During a flag raising ceremony, trainers received tokens of appreciation and recited the TVET Trainer's Creed:
As a TVET Trainer,
I commit to take and learn,
Even the most complex concept, skill or attitude,
And make it easy for every learner
To understand, accept, and perform.
