UNEVOC Sub-regional Induction Seminar

for UNEVOC Centres in Central Africa

UNESCO–UNEVOC organised an induction seminar for TVET professionals from selected UNEVOC Centres in Central Africa on enhancing the development of TVET through an effective UNEVOC Network. The seminar took place in Yaounde, Cameroon, on 5–7 December 2006 and targeted educators from UNEVOC Centres in

  • Cameroon,
  • Central African Republic,
  • Chad,
  • Congo Republic,
  • Democratic Republic of the Congo, and
  • Gabon.
Networking strategies, management, mapping, and best practices and innovative experiences were explored. In addition, comprehensive discussions on available assistance, opportunities for the UNEVOC Centres to network and assist TVET development, and possible joint activities took place.

This seminar was one of a series of international seminars aimed at strengthening national and international networks for common support and cooperation.
