This meeting was jointly organised by the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre and UNESCO Brazil, in co-operation with the UNESCO Regional Office for Education in Latin America and the Caribbean (OREALC) and the ILO Inter-American Research and Documentation Centre on Vocational Training (CINTERFOR), and with support from the Brazilian Ministry of Education. It took place in Brasilia, 30 August – 1 September 2004. The meeting brought together TVET experts from UNEVOC Centres from across the region to discuss common challenges and possibilities for regional cooperation within the UNEVOC Network based on the UNESCO and ILO Recommendations on Technical and Vocational Education and Training for the Twenty-first Century.
