at the UNESCO World Conference on ESD
UNESCO-UNEVOC organized a four-hour workshop on “Developing Skills and Labour Force Competencies including TVET in Support of Sustainable Development” as part of the World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development – Moving into the Second Half of the UN Decade, which took place in Bonn, Germany, on 31 March to 2 April 2009.
The UNEVOC workshop provided opportunities for UNEVOC, its partners and conference participants to report on ways in which the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development has catalysed efforts to integrate sustainable development-focused objectives, themes, strategies and operating procedures into TVET policies, programmes and practices. The sharing of experiences was used to identify lessons of leading practice, catalyse networks, and make plans for the next five years of the DESD.
