In the opening ceremony, Ms Ananiadou delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the Head of UNESCO-UNEVOC, in which she stressed the importance of TVET in addressing global challenges, as well as the role of partnerships and networks in achieving common goals. Ms Ananadiou also presented an overview of UNEVOC's activities during a session on 'the effective mechanisms of cooperation between UNESCO ASPNet, UNITWIN/UNESCO Chairs and UNEVOC Centres', in which she highlighted current Network activities, including the streamlining of the Network, as well as UNEVOC’s work in the area of knowledge sharing.
