El 24 de septiembre de 2015, Craig Fowler, Director General del Centro Nacional de Investigación de Educación Profesional (siglas en inglés NCVER) de Australia, visitó el Centro Internacional UNESCO-UNEVOC.
La visita dio al Sr. Fowler la oportunidad de mostrar y explicar las últimas evoluciones de la EFTP en Australia, y también la ocasión de resaltar las áreas prioritarias de investigación en este país. En una reunión a la que asistieron Shyamal Majumdar, Director de UNESCO-UNEVO, y Kenneth Barrientos, Responsable de Programas, se reconocieron las contribuciones del NCVER a la transformación de la EFTP en la región de Asia-Pacífico y su importante función como coordinador regional de la Red UNEVOC para la región del Pacífico.
La reunión también dio ocasión a debatir el futuro proyecto de investigación creado conjuntamente por UNESCO-UNEVOC y el NCVER sobre el rendimiento de las inversiones en EFTP. Este proyecto de investigación deberá comenzar a finales de 2015 y durará hasta 2017, y se encuentra organizado mediante una estructura de colaboración entre centros UNEVOC de la región.
